If anyone had told me that I would find the woman of my dreams via the internet I would have called them crazy! Well, I must be crazy because I have found the woman of my dreams on the internet!
How did it happen? I used to go online and surf, while doing so I used a programme called ICQ, a sort of messaging system. Using ICQ you can decide whether to be available for random chat, (which I did), and you can place a little description about yourself so that others can decide if they want to message you.
One evening I was surfing when I had a random message from a lady in the USA, (I am in the UK). I replied and we started a chat session. Now I can be a bit of a flirt, but sensed that she was not the sort to appreciate any smart ass comments, so behaved myself! Besides, I sensed that here was a "special" person, someone who was witty, caring and warm. We chatted for a while, just asking about each other, until I had to go. It was some time before I managed to get back online, (due to work commitments), but when I did and we managed to "meet" up again it felt as if I had found a long lost friend!
It appeared that we'd both missed chatting to each other, even though we'd only had that one chat beforehand!
After the second chat, we made arrangements to chat almost every evening for me, afternoon for her. It wasn't long before we exchanged phone numbers and called each other to "talk" properly. We'd talk till the early hours of my mornings and I soon became aware that there was more to it then just friendship, but I didn't want to "spoil" the relationship by pushing her too far, too quickly. Eventually I plucked up the courage to tell her that I thought more of her than just as a friend...to my surprise she said the same to me!!!
Now all it needed was for us to meet! Being the "gentleman" I asked if I could come and visit her..she was really happy and eager for it to happen! I flew to Chicago in April and stayed for a week, but what a week! Almost as soon as we laid eyes upon each other there seemed to be no one else in the world who could distract us from each other!
The week went so fast and the time came for me to leave, but before I did we'd both decided that we wanted to be together on a permanent basis. So, hopefully, in the not too distant future there'll be the sound of wedding bells and we two, will be one! Plus her daughter and my kids..oh and the rat of a mutt she has! :)))
So for anyone who finds themselves in the same situation, all I can say is to go for it! Find out if the person you have chatted to is who you think they are, if you feel the same when you meet them, if they do as well and maybe, just maybe you'll be as lucky as me and find the love of your life via the internet!
So all it needs now is for me to say...........

I have been to see her again and it was better than the first time! and she and her daughter are going to come to the UK for a 16 day visit in August!!!! I can't believe she loves me so much!!!
